Multicultural Experience Weekend
Multicultural Experience Weekend (MEW) provides students the opportunity to experience Sewanee firsthand by meeting current students, faculty, and administrators prior to making a decision about attending Sewanee. Participants spend 2 nights in residence halls, visit classes, and explore our beautiful campus. In conjunction with various departments, the Office of Admission has compiled a thorough list of activities and programs that will certainly provide an extensive introduction to Sewanee.
During the visit, activities will include dinners with faculty and the Vice Chancellor, various panel discussions from athletics to student life, scholarship and financial aid workshops, various social activities, and personal interviews with admission counselors. In order to be considered to participate in this event, students must be nominated by their guidance counselor and then invited by the Office of Admission. Brochures on MEW are mailed every August to select students and high schools.
