Introduction

Sewanee: The University of the South offers a diversified program of scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment for students seeking assistance in meeting their educational expenses. Financial aid funds are allocated to students both on the basis of merit and need in order to provide the maximum number of students with funds to use toward the cost of their Sewanee education.

The purpose of this guide is two-fold:

1) To provide you with some basic information regarding financial aid programs, and

2) To provide you with knowledge of the procedures involved in applying for and receiving financial aid from Sewanee.
