Dean of Admission and Financial Aid
David Lesesne was appointed to this position in July of 2001. Prior to coming to Sewanee he served as the Director of Admission at Jacksonville University (FL), as Dean of Admissions and adjunct professor of American History at Newberry College (SC), and as an admission counselor at Erskine College (SC). Dean Lesesne received his BA from Wofford College (SC) and a master’s in history from the University of South Carolina. While at USC he studied in the Institute of Southern Studies and did research on the American South.
At both Jacksonville University and Newberry College Lesesne led enrollment teams to significant growth in new student enrollment and academic profile increases. David has been an active member of Episcopal parishes in FL and SC. He has a wife and twin daughters who are nine years old.
David will be traveling and directly working with students and families from the following areas:
Nashville, TN - Montgomery Bell Academ, Harpeth Hall, and The Ensworth School
