Campus Visit Options
We are delighted that you are interested in visiting Sewanee and look forward to welcoming you to campus. Below you will find a list of brief description for all of the campus visit opportunities.
First Visit
If you are planning your first visit to campus, we encourage you to participate in both the student led campus tour and information session.
Please note that while the summer months are an opportune time for high school students to visit campus, the available activities are limited to information sessions and campus tours. Therefore, we encourage all students to return to campus during their senior year.
Please keep in mind that you are expected to attend all events that are scheduled for you.
Campus Tour
Join one of our current students for an hour-long tour of campus where you will learn about our unique history, remarkable academic resources, and student and community life at Sewanee.
Information Session
Join a member of our Office of Admission counseling staff for an interactive group session that will help you learn more about academics as well as Sewanee's admission, financial aid and merit scholarship processes.
Custom Visits
Senior Interview
Meet one-on-one with a current Sewanee senior for an informal interview. Senior interviews are available for all high school seniors throughout the school year; juniors are also welcome to schedule an interview beginning in the spring of their junior year. Note: offered only during the academic year, and not on University holidays.
Class Visit
High school seniors are invited to experience the depth and breadth of Sewanee’s top-ranked academics first-hand by scheduling a class visit. Although we will always try to schedule a class that matches your academic interests, occasionally we are unable to do so. You can be assured, however, that each and every Sewanee classroom will provide a window into the rigorous intellectual interactions between our faculty and students. Note: offered only during the academic year, and not on University holidays.
Overnight Visits
High school seniors can stay overnight with a student host in one of our great residential facilities. Overnight visits are offered Sunday through Wednesday and last one night only. Note: offered only during the academic year, and not on University holidays.
Special Interest Visits
Interested in playing a sport in college? Wondering how you can finance your education? Want to learn more about your specific academic interests? Request to meet with an expert from Financial Aid, Athletics, or Academics. Please understand that faculty, staff and coaches may be unavailable on the day of your visit. If you are a prospective student athlete, please complete an athletic questionnaire prior to scheduling your visit.
