The Office of Admission and the Sewanee Symphony Orchestra at the University of the South have designed a special visit opportunity for prospective students who have two or more years of experience playing string instruments in an orchestra. You'll have the unique opportunity to pull out that violin (or tuba, or oboe, or whatever you've got up your sleeve) and play with a real university orchestra. Are you ready for your time in the spotlight?
We’re preparing to open Jane Martin's Anton in Show Business in the Proctor Hill Theatre at the Tennessee Williams Center (yes, named after that Tennessee Williams, the one who left his literary estate to Sewanee), and we want to invite you behind the scenes to attend the final dress rehearsal, see how we are polishing the work, and offer you an opportunity to talk with the cast and faculty afterwards.
The University Choir of All Saints' Chapel in Sewanee brings students together with a common love of music and an interest in singing, studying, and performing the finest liturgical music. The Office of Admission and the University Choir invites prospective students to learn more about choral music in Sewanee. You'll have the chance to perform with a real university travel choir, led by Sewanee's choirmaster, Geoffrey Ward.
